Canada’s travel industry is buzzing with excitement following the integration of the SNAP tool, which enables travel agencies to maximize their business opportunities. Christine James, VP of Travel Leaders Network Canada, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “It’s exciting for Canada to finally have full access to SNAP.” This robust platform allows members to utilize its extensive features to enhance service delivery and boost revenue generation.
Since its initial rollout, Canadian agents have quickly adopted SNAP for booking hotel accommodations and car rentals, reaping the benefits through increased commissions. With the recent addition of air ticketing functionality, SNAP now presents travel agencies with a fresh avenue for revenue. Agents can easily identify commissionable airfares, manage passenger profiles, monitor their agency’s usage via the Agent Dashboard, and send trip quotes directly to clients, streamlining the booking process.
The Impact of Air Ticketing on Revenue Generation
John Lovell, CTC, President of Travel Leaders Network, highlighted the significance of air bookings, stating, “With air bookings now available in Canada, every one of our agencies can fully leverage SNAP.” He pointed out that U.S. agencies within Travel Leaders Network recorded an impressive $7.6 million in air bookings during the first quarter of the year, indicating a strong potential for similar success among Canadian members.
Enhancements in Cruise Offerings
In addition to the advancements with SNAP, Travel Leaders Network showcased its expanded cruise offerings at the recent EDGE conference. With cruise bookings experiencing notable growth across various market segments, the organization is enhancing its curated cruise space programs to encompass over 8,000 sailings through 2027.
The travel network’s cruise portfolio features Distinctive Voyages, a premium program offering more than 1,000 luxury cruise itineraries across 14 cruise lines. Each sailing comes complete with an onboard Host, exclusive shore events, and invitations to private receptions, ensuring an elevated experience for travelers. Additional offerings include Amenity Departure Dates, boasting value-added perks such as shipboard credits, specialty dining, and prepaid gratuities. There’s also the Culinary Collection providing unique food and wine-related sailings, catering to gastronomic enthusiasts.
Social Media Marketing Innovations
Further enhancing its members’ capabilities, Travel Leaders Network announced the launch of Social Share Pro, an innovative social media marketing tool available to all members across North America. This platform enables advisors to access high-quality, curated social media content highlighting exclusive partner offers, which can be directly shared across popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others. This initiative aims to improve online engagement and brand visibility, making it easier for travel advisors to connect with clients.
Other Notable Updates from EDGE 2025
Attendees at the EDGE conference were introduced to new features of SNAP, alongside other integral tools designed to help travel advisors thrive. Key highlights included the Agent Profiler lead-generation tool, enhancements to the SuperAgent program, and expanded Customer Relationship Management (CRM) options.
