Sunwing grows 2026 resort lineup with new and revamped properties in Mexico & the Dominican Republic
Sunwing Vacations is expanding its all-inclusive portfolio for 2026 with the addition of five new and significantly upgraded resorts across Mexico and the Dominican Republic, strengthening its offering across both family and adults-only segments.
The expansion includes a mix of newly opened properties and major renovations in key sun destinations. Here’s an overview of what’s new.
Riu Jalisco
Located in Nuevo Vallarta, the expanded Riu Jalisco returns to the market following a large-scale renovation. The family-focused resort now features 820 renovated rooms, including spacious family suites designed for groups of up to six.
New outdoor enhancements include six pools, dedicated children’s pool areas with slides and games, and a newly added splash pad. Dining options have also expanded with the introduction of an American Country restaurant, an ice cream and candy shop, and a sports bar. The resort continues to offer direct access to Playa de Flamingos, along with a refreshed RiuLand kids’ club.
Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres
Opened in December 2025, Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres marks a new adults-only (18+) luxury option within Sunwing’s portfolio. Set amid mangroves and tropical surroundings, the resort offers 599 suites, including swim-out categories with direct pool access.
Guests have access to multiple infinity pools, rooftop pool spaces, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The culinary program features eight à la carte restaurants ranging from teppanyaki and Mediterranean to French fine dining, supported by 10 bars across the property.
Bakour Punta Cana Suites
New to Sunwing, Bakour Punta Cana Suites delivers a more intimate, family-friendly experience on the beachfront at Cabeza de Toro. The resort features direct beach access, a large outdoor pool, solarium areas, and a spa and wellness centre.
Entertainment programming runs throughout the day and evening, offering a mix of sports, poolside activities, and live entertainment designed to appeal to guests of all ages.
Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun
Opened in November 2025, Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun is located near Puerto Morelos and offers a blend of beachfront relaxation and activity-driven programming. Guests can enjoy water sports, a full-service spa, and daily activities including tennis, archery, yoga, Aquafit, and rifle shooting.
The resort also features five pools, a children’s splash pad, and a supervised kids’ club, positioning it as a balanced option for families and active travellers.
Royalton Riviera Cancun & Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun
Reopened in December 2025, this renovated dual-resort concept combines a family-friendly experience with a neighbouring adults-only offering. Royalton Riviera Cancun caters to families with the Splash Safari water park, kids’ and teen clubs, and refreshed common areas.
Next door, Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun delivers an adults-only atmosphere with private beach areas, exclusive pools, and upscale dining, including the Dorado beachfront seafood grill. Both resorts feature modernized suites, DreamBed mattresses, rain showers, 24-hour room service, and Diamond Club categories.
