Beginning April 7, 2026, Southwest Airlines will launch daily flights connecting Orlando with Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten. Additionally, weekend services from Baltimore, Maryland, will kick off on April 9. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the airline, enhancing travel options to this Caribbean destination.
On both routes, Southwest will primarily operate without direct competition, aside from seasonal service by Frontier Airlines, which offers weekly flights from Orlando to St. Maarten during the summer months, specifically from late May to mid-August.
St. Maarten becomes the third new destination announced by Southwest for the summer of 2026, following the introductions of flights to St. Thomas and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Travelers planning their next vacation will find St. Maarten’s stunning beaches and vibrant culture an attractive destination. With its strategic flight offerings, Southwest Airlines aims to make access to this Caribbean paradise more convenient and affordable.
The addition of these routes reflects Southwest’s commitment to expanding its network and meeting the demands of its customers. Stay tuned for further updates, as the airline continues to enhance travel options across its expanding route map.
