Discovering Italian Flavors with MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises embodies the spirit of family, much like traditional Italian cooking. To celebrate this connection, the cruise line hosted a special evening at Toronto’s Eataly restaurant, coinciding with the launch of the MSC World America in the Caribbean.
The Exclusive Eataly at Sea
Set to debut next week, MSC World America will feature the only Eataly at Sea, showcasing an exceptional culinary experience for guests. Media representatives were treated to a preview at the downtown Toronto Eataly on April 2nd, where they sampled a sumptuous menu of creamy burrata, flavorful pappardelle with umami-rich mushrooms, and melt-in-your-mouth short rib, perfectly paired with fine Italian wines.

A Unique Culinary Experience
Ian Patterson, Country Manager for MSC Cruises in Canada, explained the company’s commitment to high-quality dining experiences on board. The Eataly brand is ideally suited to this ethos, as it offers unique dishes that will only be available on the MSC World America. Additionally, the ship will introduce a new Greek restaurant named Paxos and a variety of complimentary “fast casual” dining options to cater to diverse tastes.

The Optimal Way to Travel
During the event, Patterson emphasized the advantages of cruising as a travel option, stating, “Whether it’s a small expedition ship sailing to the Shetland Islands or a journey to the Caribbean, cruising offers unparalleled flexibility and experiences.” With 23 vessels in its fleet, MSC Cruises serves over 250 global destinations, and the upcoming launch of MSC World America will be followed by the introduction of MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic.
A Thriving Canadian Presence
As MSC Cruises prepares to mark its sixth anniversary in Canada, Patterson reflected on the company’s growth from just four employees to a robust team of 70. This growth underscores the cruise line’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction in the Canadian market.
