REI Co-op is back in the travel business. The outdoor retailer has teamed up with Intrepid Travel to offer small-group tours around the world.
Less than a year after discontinuing its Experiences vertical due to financial challenges, REI Co-op has revitalized its presence in the travel sector. This exciting new initiative will kick off in January, featuring two curated travel collections: REI Exclusive and REI Recommended.
Exclusive Collection: Unique Itineraries Await
The REI Exclusive collection will introduce over 25 carefully crafted itineraries, ranging from three to 14 days in stunning destinations such as Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania, and various locations in the United States. Activities will include hiking adventures, multisport itineraries, and women-led experiences, all designed to provide a unique, authentic journey.
Recommended Portfolio: More Choices for Adventurers
In addition to the Exclusive offerings, the REI Recommended collection will feature more than 50 trips across 32 diverse countries. These itineraries will last between four and 15 days and may include premium accommodations to enhance the travel experience.
Member Discounts and Community Engagement
Both members of the REI Co-op and non-members can book these unique tours. However, members will enjoy a 15% discount on the Exclusive collection, making it an attractive option for those already committed to outdoor adventures.
