Air Canada Vacations (ACV) is set to continue its support as the title sponsor of the 401 Bike Challenge, an event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Pediatric Oncology Units in some of Canada’s prominent children’s hospitals. On June 27, 2024, for each travel booking made through ACV, a donation of CAD $10 will be directed towards supporting Toronto SickKids, Ottawa CHEO, and Montreal Children’s hospitals.
Participants can make bookings via local travel advisors or at Air Canada Vacations.
The 401 Bike Challenge, launched in 2005, offers various cycling options tailored to accommodate different skill levels. Enthusiasts can choose from:
- 3-day ride: A challenging journey from Toronto to Montreal, covering 574 km
- 1-day ride: A shorter ride from Cornwall to Montreal, encompassing 128 km
- Half-day ride: A new addition this year, offering a 33 km route from John Abbott College to the Montreal Children’s Hospital
As stated by ACV, the event has successfully raised nearly CAD $3 million since its inception, showcasing the commitment of participants to improve the lives of children battling cancer.
