Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has recently announced significant itinerary changes affecting three of its vessels: the Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, and Norwegian Encore. This follows the cancellation of nearly 40 sailings previously scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
According to reports, **35 cruises have been cancelled**, with specific dates for each ship impacted. Norwegian Encore will not operate sailings from **November 2025 through January 2026**, while Norwegian Bliss will see cancellations from **November 2025 to March 2026**. Lastly, Norwegian Breakaway cruises are cancelled for **January and February 2026**. A spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line explained that these adjustments result from a “**fleet redeployment**,” aimed at enhancing the experiences offered to passengers. Guests who had previously booked affected sailings are set to receive a full refund of their fares, along with a **10% future cruise credit**. This credit can be applied to any published cruise through December 31, 2026.
Norwegian aims to deliver exceptional vacation experiences, and a company representative noted, “While we try to maintain original itineraries as much as possible, occasionally, scheduled itineraries may need to be cancelled to introduce enhanced voyages accommodating strong guest demand.” For insight into their cancellation strategy, check out [Travel + Leisure](https://www.travelandleisure.com/norwegian-cruise-cancellations-2025-2026-8759862).

Looking ahead, Norwegian Cruise Line is set to establish a new home port in **Finland** in 2026. The cruise line also aims to be the first to operate from **Philadelphia**, marking a significant return to that market.
Last month, Norwegian Cruise Line cancelled **38 sailings** scheduled between November 2025 and April 2026 on several vessels, including the Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Jewel. Shortly thereafter, cruising plans for Norwegian Jade were also impacted, with cancellations stretching from **October 18, 2025, to February 16, 2026**.
