Yesterday, Air Canada hosted a vibrant check-in event at both Montréal Trudeau and Toronto Pearson airports, welcoming nearly 400 travel advisors for the highly anticipated Air Canada Vacations (ACV) Mega Fam to Cancun. The ACV team radiated excitement as they greeted attendees with enthusiasm and provided exclusive welcome gifts, setting a festive tone for the occasion.
Among the participants, the team from Voyages Aquamonde in Sainte-Catherine, QC, showed their creativity by sporting custom t-shirts. “ACV trips are always so enjoyable and well-organized,” expressed Karina Chabot from Voyages Aquamonde. Similarly, Karine Laplante of Voyages Simon Pelletier shared her eagerness for the Cancun experience, underscoring the positive vibe surrounding this unique trip.
The Ultimate Celebration: ACV Mega Fam
According to Marco Gagnon, General Manager of Sales for Quebec, Ottawa & Atlantic, this event transcends the typical familiarization trip. “This is more of a true celebration… under the sun,” he explained, emphasizing the communal spirit of the gathering.
As the group landed in Cancun around 4 p.m., the ambient clouds didn’t dampen the excitement. The extensive coordination of ACV staff at the airport showcased their commitment to a memorable experience, regardless of the weather.
Record Participation and Enthusiasm
Gagnon proudly announced, “This is the biggest trip in the history of [Air Canada Vacations](https://www.aircanadavacations.com).” The energy surrounding this milestone was palpable, as ACV’s Vice President Nino Montagnese noted the remarkable enthusiasm for ACV’s 50th anniversary. “We’re delighted by the incredible response,” he added.
With over 700 registrations from travel partners nationwide, this Mega Fam includes two charter flights from Toronto and Montreal and a dedicated group from Vancouver. Montagnese remarked, “This level of excitement demonstrates the strong bonds within Canada’s travel community and our shared commitment to growth, collaboration, and creating inspiring experiences.”
Immersive Experience at Host Resorts
The itinerary of the trip is designed thoughtfully, with only a few hotel tours on the schedule to allow attendees substantial time to explore Cancun and enjoy the hospitality of their host resorts. The aim is to facilitate meaningful interactions and inspire travel advisors with firsthand knowledge of the destination.
As the Mega Fam progresses, participants can expect to deepen their understanding of Cancun’s offerings and strengthen their connections within the travel industry. This week promises to be filled with learning, networking, and unforgettable memories as all eyes turn towards the sun-soaked fun awaiting them.
