Kensington Announces Executive Team Realignment
Kensington has unveiled a significant restructuring of its executive team, alongside the introduction of various sub-brands. This move is part of a broader strategy by parent company Navigatr Group to decentralize its operations, allowing each brand to function independently.
Decentralization Strategy
According to a spokesperson from Kensington, the new structure means each company now has its own dedicated management team, eliminating the previous practice of sharing resources. Most of Kensington’s executive team is based in Toronto, except for Daniel Finkel, who operates from Seattle.
Sub-Brands That Enhance Luxury Travel
As part of the reorganization, Kensington continues to act as the umbrella brand encompassing several specialized sub-brands:
- Kensington Tours: Focused on crafting personalized luxury itineraries featuring private guided tours by Destination Experts.
- Kensington Cruise: Collaborates with leading luxury cruise lines to offer fully customized pre- and post-cruise touring experiences, complete with exclusive shore excursions at over 200 global ports.
- Kensington Villas: Provides access to a portfolio of private villas, ideal for travelers seeking privacy combined with unique, tailor-made itineraries.
- Kensington Air: A dedicated division for commercial air travel bookings.
- Kensington Private Jet: Newly established to facilitate private jet bookings.
Growth in Sales Team
Kensington has made significant strides in its sales department, with the Outside Sales team doubling in size over the past four months. This growth reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing customer engagement and service quality.
Introducing the New Leadership Team
The restructured executive team comprises experienced leaders:
- D’Arcy Delamere: Executive VP, Sales
- Matt Cammaert: Senior VP of Marketing and Outside Sales
- Daniel Finkel: Senior VP, Product & Procurement
- Shawn Boyd: VP, Technology
- Michelle Small: VP, Human Resources
- Jeff Kwan: VP, Finance
Future Prospects for Luxury Travel
Speaking on these changes, Helen Giontsis, President of Kensington, expressed excitement about the newfound autonomy that decentralization brings. This shift allows the company to tailor its strategies to better cater to the sophisticated needs of its clients and travel advisor partnerships. Giontsis emphasized the wealth of expertise within the new executive team, positioning Kensington to deliver unrivaled luxury travel experiences.
