Margaritaville at Sea Unveils Its Third Ship: The Beachcomber
Margaritaville at Sea has announced the official name of its upcoming third ship: the Beachcomber. This new vessel will be transitioning from its current role as the Costa Fortuna under Costa Cruises. As revealed earlier this year, Margaritaville at Sea plans for the Beachcomber to be its largest ship to date, capable of accommodating 2,702 passengers at double occupancy and up to 3,470 at full capacity. CEO Christopher Ivy has indicated that the ship is expected to set sail for its inaugural voyage in late 2026 or early 2027.
Unique Features of the Beachcomber
The Beachcomber will offer 15 distinct experiences that set it apart from Margaritaville’s existing ships, the Islander and the Paradise. Guests can look forward to familiar favorites, including the iconic 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar and grill, the popular Cheeseburger in Paradise, the Hemisphere Dancer lounge, and the License to Chill bar.
Design Inspired by Nostalgia
The design of the Beachcomber is set to evoke feelings of nostalgia, reminiscing about beach scenes and vintage surf art. Head of Design Martha Brabham stated, “We drew inspiration from nostalgic beach scenes, vintage surf art, and the carefree escapism that defines the brand.” The result promises to be a space that feels both joyful and instantly familiar to guests.
Upcoming Details and Itineraries
While the specific homeport and itineraries for the Beachcomber will be announced later this summer, the excitement surrounding the ship has already begun to build. This reflects the cruise line’s commitment to providing unique and memorable experiences for travelers looking to enjoy the Margaritaville lifestyle on the high seas.
