The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) marked a significant milestone earlier this month, celebrating its 11th anniversary with a VIP Supplier Event held at the historic Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto. The celebration not only recognized the company’s journey but also honored key individuals who have been instrumental in its success.
Celebrating Contributions to TTAND
During the event, TTAND Founder and CEO Flemming Friisdahl presented appreciation awards to three influential figures who have supported the company since its inception. The honorees included Brad Miron, Dan Galbraith, and Jill Wykes, each of whom has played a critical role in shaping TTAND.
Dan Galbraith: Master of Visual Storytelling
Speaking about Galbraith, Friisdahl praised his expertise in audiovisual production. “Having worked with Dan for years, I’m extremely grateful he joined us from the beginning. His work on events, including this year’s VIP gathering and various roadshows across Canada, is a testament to his talent and dedication,” said Friisdahl. Galbraith expressed his amazement at how the conversation that sparked TTAND has evolved into a thriving enterprise, stating, “Documenting this growth through photos and video has been an honor.”
Brad Miron: The Visionary Behind TTAND’s Identity
Miron, renowned for his marketing acumen, was the creative force behind TTAND’s iconic name and logo. Friisdahl recalled, “Brad unveiled our name and logo during a gathering at his home. It was a pivotal moment, and I’m thankful for his introduction to Raj Gautam, our CIO, which equipped us with cutting-edge technology.” Miron reflected on his ten-year journey with TTAND, saying, “Creating the company name and branding has been a joy, witnessing its extraordinary success has been inspiring.”
Jill Wykes: Champion of Media Presence
Wykes has been an integral part of TTAND’s media relations, ensuring the company remains visible and relevant. Friisdahl noted their history together when Sunquest acquired The Holiday Network, where Wykes served as Senior VP of Sales. “Her informative articles have consistently ranked among the highest in readership,” he commented. Wykes shared her excitement about TTAND’s journey, mentioning, “Being a part of its growth from a handful of agents to over 1,500, while maintaining family values, has been incredible.”
Reflecting on Growth and Future Aspirations
The TTAND anniversary event was not just a celebration of the past, but also a glimpse into the future, as discussions around upcoming initiatives and collaborations took center stage. The company is focused on continued growth while fostering a community-based environment among its agents.
This milestone reaffirms TTAND’s commitment to empowering travel agents and represents a thriving network that has significantly impacted the travel industry in Canada. As the company looks forward to new horizons, it remains dedicated to innovation and community, promising exciting developments for the future.
