TORONTO — Last night, Fort Myers Islands, Beaches & Neighborhoods made a grand entrance at a travel industry gathering, hosting a lively post-event after-party at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The beloved Florida destination proudly served as one of the sponsors for the Hello! Canada x Toronto Life Magazine Hollywood North Party, in collaboration with Rogers.
Held at the stunning new venue, The Sutton Place Hotel Toronto on King St. West—just steps away from the TIFF Lightbox—this event brought a touch of nostalgia. The hotel has a rich history as the former hotspot for TIFF celebrities during its tenure on Bay St. before moving to the King West area.

Exciting Opportunities for Fort Myers
The evening commenced with a cocktail reception hosted by Fort Myers Islands, Beaches & Neighborhoods at the nearby Le Germain Hotel. Despite challenges in U.S. tourism, Fort Myers has seen a notable increase in visitation, reporting a 5.5% rise from January to June 2025.
“Let’s keep it going; let’s make this a great fall,” stated Jeanette Faria, Product Manager for Fort Myers Islands, Beaches & Neighborhoods, part of VoX International, the agency representing Fort Myers in Canada. Faria emphasized that Fort Myers is cherished for various attractions, including golf, the Island Hopper Songwriting Fest, and Sanibel Island, renowned as the seashell capital of the world.
Beach Restoration Success
Perhaps most importantly, Fort Myers takes pride in its beautiful beaches. “Great news: Fort Myers has completed its beach restoration, adding 1 million cubic yards of sand. Fort Myers Beach looks fantastic,” Faria announced enthusiastically.
Travelers from Canada can easily reach this tropical paradise, with three airlines—Air Canada, WestJet, and Porter—offering convenient flights. “We want to extend our gratitude to these airlines for their outstanding service,” Faria added.
