Celebrity Cruises has announced an ambitious US$250 million initiative to revitalize its esteemed fleet of Solstice-class ships. This modernization effort signals a significant commitment to enhancing guest experiences aboard these iconic vessels.
Revitalization Timeline
The revamped Celebrity Solstice will lead the way, debuting its new features in March 2026, nearly twenty years after the original class launch. Other ships in this celebrated series include the Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Silhouette, and Celebrity Reflection.
New Experiences Await
This revitalization project will introduce eight exciting new experiences, including four completely new spaces, alongside refreshed accommodations and reimagined public areas. The aim is to seamlessly blend the nostalgic charm that defines the Solstice class with modern-day luxury and amenities.
“We’ve received significant feedback about the nostalgic appeal of the Solstice class,” remarked Tanya Chandra, Director of Brand Marketing at Celebrity Cruises, during a recent webinar unveiling early renderings. “It’s where many guests began their journey with us, and we’re committed to honoring that heritage while integrating fresh updates.”
Culinary Innovations
One highlight among the new offerings is the Trattoria Rossa, an Italian restaurant that celebrates the classic “red sauce” pasta genre with an elevated and theatrical dining experience. “Every meal here is a bit of a show, featuring tableside preparations,” Chandra noted.
Additionally, the famed Fine Cut Steakhouse from the Edge-class will make a debut on the Solstice ships, offering guests dry-aged steaks and superior service, further elevating the dining experience on these classic vessels.
Outdoor and Recreational Spaces
On the top deck, the Lawn Club will be transformed into Sunset Park, a reimagined outdoor lounge featuring panoramic views, live open-air concerts, lawn games, and shaded cabanas. “We aim to cultivate a communal atmosphere where guests are encouraged to gather and unwind,” Chandra emphasized.
For an enhanced entertainment experience, the line is introducing Celebrity Barcade, described as an always-active gaming retreat. This venue will feature skee-ball, darts, billiards, and an extensive library of board games, along with multiple screens for sports viewing.
Accommodations Reimagined
In addition to the new communal spaces and dining options, all staterooms are getting an updated look. “We will introduce four new stateroom categories available for booking on Celebrity Solstice later this month,” shared Chandra. Noteworthy highlights include spacious panoramic suites and upgraded AquaClass rooms, featuring spa-inspired amenities like massaging showerheads, in-room yoga mats, aromatherapy diffusers, and a tailored pillow menu.
As Celebrity Cruises progresses with these transformative changes, the revitalization of the Solstice-class fleet is expected to enhance the overall maritime experience, welcoming both returning and new guests to enjoy the perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation.
