Starting May 2027, Carnival Freedom will become the newest addition to Norfolk, Virginia’s cruise offerings, transitioning from its current home at Port Canaveral. Travelers can expect exciting itineraries featuring destinations across the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Canada.
Upcoming Changes for Carnival’s Fleet
Alongside the introduction of Carnival Freedom in Norfolk, the Carnival Legend will undergo its own transition, repositioning to Long Beach, California, from October 2027 to April 2028. Following an adventurous summer in Alaska, Carnival Legend will offer a selection of cruising experiences, including 14-day voyages to Hawaii and shorter six- and eight-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera.
Year-Round Sailings from Baltimore
Meanwhile, the Carnival Pride will maintain its year-round operations from Baltimore, offering passengers a consistent and enjoyable cruise experience throughout the year.
Booking and Availability
To accommodate the excitement surrounding these new sailings, Carnival Cruise Line opened booking options for all new itineraries on September 17, allowing travelers to secure their preferred cruising adventures.
These updates emphasize Carnival’s commitment to diversifying its cruise offerings and providing more choices for passengers. As these ships transition to new ports, travelers will find an array of adventures waiting to be explored.
