As 2025 comes to a close, Air Canada proudly highlights a year of significant growth and achievements. With heartfelt gratitude for its loyal customers, dedicated employees, and supportive partners, the airline celebrates its ongoing global leadership, as showcased in its 12 Days of Cheer video, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to future successes in 2026.

Expansion of Services and Destinations
In 2025, Air Canada expanded its schedule to Latin America with four new destinations, adding 13 new routes and increasing its capacity by 16 percent. The airline also launched 12 new international destinations, which includes locations such as Manila, Philippines. For 2026, seven more destinations will be added, enhancing Air Canada’s transatlantic presence and offering customers an array of travel choices.
Awards and Recognitions
This year marked the sixth consecutive win for Air Canada of the Five Star Global Airline Award at the APEX Awards. Its onboard Wi-Fi, funded by Bell, was recognized as the Best Inflight Connectivity, a testament to its commitment to customer satisfaction, validated by votes from over 1 million passengers.
Membership Growth and Loyalty Program Enhancements
Air Canada’s loyalty program, Aeroplan, celebrated a historic milestone in 2025, surpassing 10 million members. This year also saw an expansion of partnerships aimed at enhancing the value and versatility of the Aeroplan rewards program.
Innovations in Sustainability
In a significant sustainability achievement, the Québec City station became the first to utilize fully electric ground support equipment. With the transition completed, the airline now operates a fleet of electric alternatives for all main ground support categories.

Air Canada continued its philanthropic efforts through the “Dreams Take Flight” initiative, bringing joy to over a thousand children from across Canada by facilitating magical experiences in theme parks in Florida and California.
Enhanced Travel Experience and Customer Service

Air Canada showed a remarkable improvement in on-time performance, ranking in the Top 3 for three months of 2025, with one month achieving the top position in North America according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.

The airline was honored as the Best Airline in North America at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, confirming its reputation for excellence in customer service and operational quality.
