Accor Makes Las Vegas Entry with Treasure Island Hotel Franchise Deal
French hospitality giant Accor is making a significant entrance into the Las Vegas market by signing a franchise agreement to introduce the TI-Treasure Island Las Vegas Hotel & Casino under its exclusive Handwritten Collection brand.
About the Franchise Partnership
This new partnership allows Treasure Island to leverage Accor’s robust global distribution network and its popular ALL loyalty program, which boasts over 100 million members worldwide. As part of the agreement, the property will maintain its signature offerings, including complimentary valet and self-parking services.
The Handwritten Collection Brand
The Handwritten Collection, which debuted in 2023, is aimed at the midscale market and currently includes 25 hotels. Treasure Island will be the second U.S. property under this brand, following the recent inclusion of the Hotel Stratford in San Francisco last year.
Operational Details
While Accor has secured the franchise deal, it will not be operating the property. The specific operator for Treasure Island has yet to be announced, leaving some questions about day-to-day management.
Features of Treasure Island Hotel & Casino
Located on the vibrant Las Vegas Strip, Treasure Island boasts an impressive array of amenities, including 10 dining venues, eight bars and lounges, and an expansive 90,000 square feet of casino space. Additionally, the resort is home to the acclaimed Cirque du Soleil show Mystere. Recently, the hotel underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation and now has a direct connection to the Fashion Show Las Vegas mall.
Owner’s Remarks
Phil Ruffin, owner of Treasure Island, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Treasure Island has long held a special place in the story of Las Vegas. I am certain that Accor and Handwritten Collection will further enrich its legacy and attract new generations of guests and visitors.”
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this report incorrectly stated that Accor would operate TI-Treasure Island as part of the deal to bring it into the Handwritten Collection brand.
