Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is set to kick off a nationwide marketing campaign aimed at highlighting the invaluable contributions of its travel professionals across both franchise and corporate agencies. With previous phases of the campaign already visible on various digital platforms, including websites, Google, and YouTube, TDC plans to unveil fresh visual designs in the coming months.
Celebrating Travel Professionals
Karine Gagnon, General Manager of Transat Distribution Canada, emphasized the significance of TDC’s travel professionals. "Our travel advisors are among our most valuable assets," she noted. The latest campaign mirrors efforts from 2020 but introduces new elements to spotlight the expertise that enhances customer experiences.
"These professionals have repeatedly demonstrated their unique value, making the travel experience incomparable," Gagnon added. TDC recognizes that "travel professionals are the heart of its industry," underscoring their essential role amid evolving travel dynamics.
New Creative Vision
Marc Pelletier, Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, and Events at TDC, provided insights into the creative framework of the initiative. "We developed a platform to showcase the travel advisor profession throughout Canada, featuring our branded agencies like Marlin Travel in English Canada and Club Voyages in Quebec," he explained. A tailored version of the campaign will also be launched for Western Canada, produced in collaboration with WestJet Vacations, a valued TDC partner.
Utilizing the universal symbolism of stars, the campaign will visually articulate the characteristics of TDC’s five-star travel professionals. These advisors offer personalized experiences, save time and money for clients, and provide reassurance, thereby setting themselves apart in the travel landscape.
Future Aspirations
"This campaign marks the beginning of our journey to elevate the profile of travel professionals as a unique value proposition," Pelletier asserted. He believes this creative platform is just the first step towards broader conversations about the industry. TDC aims to inspire all industry stakeholders to collectively enhance the appreciation for travel professionals, fostering growth across the sector.
Supporting this initiative, Wendy Paradis, President of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), stated, "The TDC network is a significant member of ACTA, and we applaud this marketing effort." She further highlighted the importance of reminding travelers of the numerous benefits they receive when booking vacations through travel consultants. Paradis concluded, "The campaign from the TDC network is well-timed to emphasize these advantages."
