A DECADE OF GROWTH IN HILTON’S CANADIAN PORTFOLIO
Hilton has marked an impressive trajectory in Canada, nearly doubling its hotel portfolio over the last ten years. This remarkable expansion is primarily attributed to the rapid growth of focused service brands, which now constitute about 50% of Hilton’s overall presence in the country. The hotel chain has successfully introduced nearly 50 properties across various brands, including Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Tru by Hilton, and the recently launched Spark by Hilton, which opened its first location in Canada at Spark by Hilton Toronto Markham last year.
EXPANSION IN EXTENDED STAY SEGMENT
The extended stay segment has emerged as a standout category for Hilton in Canada, reflecting a doubling in size over the past decade. This growth is largely driven by popular brands like Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton, catering to travelers seeking comfort and convenience during longer stays.
NEW LIFESTYLE HOTELS IN KEY MARKETS
Hilton has also introduced new lifestyle properties in some of Canada’s most sought-after locations. Notable openings this year include several Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels, such as Hôtel Vallea Bromton, Hotel Railwayparc Montreal, and The Brock Niagara Falls Fallsview. Furthermore, Revery Toronto Downtown, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, opened its doors last year, along with Canada’s inaugural Canopy by Hilton in Toronto, which launched in 2023. These developments signify Hilton’s commitment to diversifying its offerings in the Canadian market.

Additionally, more than 20 new hotels are anticipated to join the Hilton portfolio in the coming year. This includes establishments like DoubleTree by Hilton North Vancouver, Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown, Homewood Suites by Hilton Surrey, Home2 Suites by Hilton Vaughan Toronto, Tru by Hilton Milton, and multiple Spark by Hilton hotels stretching from Calgary to Montreal.
