Windstar Cruises has unveiled its 2026-27 winter itineraries, showcasing an array of exciting options in the Caribbean and Latin America. A standout feature of this season is the introduction of a unique cruise tour that combines a breathtaking visit to Machu Picchu with a seven-night voyage through Costa Rica and the Panama Canal.
Exclusive Land Packages and Cultural Experiences
Travelers can enhance their cruise experience with a five-night pre- or post-cruise land package. This package includes a guided tour of Machu Picchu, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, the journey features a scenic roundtrip Vistadome train ride, along with a visit to the historic city of Cusco.
Expanding Itineraries: A Historic Lineup
With the launch of its 2026-27 voyages, Windstar Cruises boasts the most extensive collection of Caribbean and Latin American itineraries to date. Notably, the brand will be debuting its latest vessel, Star Seeker, which is set to begin operations in Europe this December.
Allure of Caribbean Voyages
From November through March, Windstar offers an enticing range of weeklong small-ship Caribbean itineraries departing from San Juan, St. Maarten, or both. The line’s flagship sailing ship, Wind Surf, alternates between two featured itineraries: Beach Fun & Sun: A Remote Caribbean Getaway and Classic Caribbean.
Highlights and Activities
Guest experiences will feature an array of exciting activities, such as snorkeling from the yacht’s marina at Prickly Pear, ziplining through the lush rainforests of St. Kitts, and enjoying sunset rum toasts in beautiful Guadeloupe. In addition, Windstar is introducing its AquaBana inflatable dock fleetwide, enhancing guests’ access to pristine beaches and waters.
Flexible Itineraries with Star Pride
From October to January, the Star Pride will operate regular itineraries from San Juan, alternating between the seven-night San Juan & the Virgin Islands and the Windward Islands Surf & Sunsets.
Excursions and Cultural Immersion in the Dominican Republic
New shore excursions have been added in the Dominican Republic, offering guests unique experiences like rum tasting in Puerto Plata and guided boat tours of the caves and mangroves in Los Haitises National Park in Samana. Further engaging experiences include snorkeling at Horseshoe Reef in the Tobago Cays and a French Creole cooking class led by a local chef in Marigot, St. Martin.
Latin America Awaits
Windstar’s Latin American itineraries will utilize three of its ships: Star Legend, Wind Star, and Star Pride. Guests can look forward to narrated daylight transits of the Panama Canal, enhancing their travel experience with commentary from onboard experts.
