American Express is set to unveil a new Centurion Lounge at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport this Wednesday. Located within Terminal 3 near Gate 114, the lounge spans nearly 7,500 square feet, offering guests stunning views of the airfield.
Exclusive Amenities for Travelers
Guests at the Centurion Lounge can expect a diverse selection of seating options, alongside unique features like private phone booths that double as meditation spaces. These booths, elegantly designed with fabric panels and adorned with traditional Japanese artwork, are complemented by an audio program that includes soothing soundscapes.
A distinguished VIP area for Centurion members will showcase high-end furnishings alongside authentic kumiko woodwork and curated Japanese art. This exclusive section also features a private beverage station, ensuring an elevated experience.
Culinary Offerings
The lounge’s culinary offerings are crafted by renowned chef Satoshi Ogino, highlighting traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi and ramen. Guests can also indulge in a buffet featuring a blend of local and international cuisines. A sweets bar will serve exquisite tea and wagashi, traditional Japanese confections.
The lounge will include an open kitchen where patrons have the opportunity to observe chefs as they prepare dishes, adding an interactive element to the dining experience. For those wishing to unwind, the full bar will serve a variety of beverages, including wine, cocktails, Japanese beers, sake, and shochu.
A Growing Demand for Travel to Japan
The Haneda lounge marks the 30th Centurion Lounge globally and the fourth location in Asia. "We’ve seen incredible demand for travel to Japan," stated Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel. "It is one of the destinations where we’ve experienced the highest growth recently. We look forward to showcasing the impeccable service Centurion Lounges are known for in a destination that holds immense importance for our card members."
