United Airlines is set to resume flights to Israel starting July 21. The airline will operate one flight from Newark to Tel Aviv on that day, before expanding its service to twice-daily flights beginning July 22. This marks a significant return for United, which last operated a flight to Tel Aviv on June 11. Unfortunately, a subsequent flight had to turn back before reaching its destination due to safety concerns arising from Israel’s bombing campaign against Iran.
Delta Airlines has also suspended its services to Israel since these tensions escalated. The airline plans to maintain the suspension of its New York JFK to Tel Aviv flights until August 31.
In the meantime, Israeli carriers like El Al and Arkia continue to operate flights to the U.S., providing alternative options for travelers looking to fly in and out of Israel despite ongoing regional conflicts.
As travelers consider their plans, they should stay updated on the latest flight information and safety advisories to ensure a smooth journey.
