The Hall of Excellence, a new attraction celebrating the triumphs of sports and entertainment, is set to open its doors at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on June 20. This remarkable project is a collaboration between renowned former NFL quarterback Tom Brady and sportscaster Jim Gray, alongside his wife, Frann Vettor-Gray.
The Hall will feature an impressive array of artifacts from sports legends, including Michael Jordan’s first pair of Air Jordans from 1984, his championship shoes from the 1991 NBA Finals, and multiple iconic items from Brady, including all seven of his Super Bowl rings. The collection also pays tribute to Jackie Robinson, showcasing the bat he used to shatter baseball’s color barrier in 1947, as well as Muhammad Ali’s gloves from the historic 1966 fight against George Chuvalo.
"The Hall of Excellence is about more than preserving history; it is about celebrating the relentless pursuit of greatness," stated Brady. "These moments and these legends remind us of what is possible when passion and hard work collide, inspiring us to chase our own legacies."
Alongside these highlights, the Hall will boast memorabilia from celebrated figures such as heavyweight boxing champions Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, and Mike Tyson, alongside football icons Vince Lombardi and Jim Brown. Baseball greats like Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Aaron, and Willie Mays will also be represented, as well as basketball Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, golf legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, and soccer superstars Pele and Lionel Messi.
The trophy room promises to be a standout feature, housing prestigious awards such as the Vince Lombardi Trophy, awarded annually to the Super Bowl champion; the Major League Baseball Commissioner’s Trophy; the Heisman Trophy; the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy for the NBA; the Wimbledon trophy; and the Pete Rozelle Super Bowl MVP Trophy.
In addition to sports memorabilia, the Hall will celebrate entertainment achievements. Highlights include Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award for "Unforgiven" (1993), Oprah Winfrey’s Presidential Medal of Freedom (2013), and her Tony Award for "The Color Purple" (2016). Collectibles representing icons such as Elvis Presley and The Beatles, along with Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, and Oscars will be on display. Rare golf balls and baseballs signed by U.S. presidents, dating back to Woodrow Wilson, will further enrich the experience.
Visitors will embark on a self-guided tour narrated by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman. Prominent figures, including Winfrey, Brady, Gray, Marv Albert, Jim Nantz, Bob Costas, and Mike Emrick, will share anecdotes and descriptions of key artifacts.
The Hall of Excellence will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is priced at $35 (plus tax and fees), with a reduced cost of $20 for guests aged 15 and under. Additional discounts are available for seniors and military personnel.
