SALT LAKE CITY — An exciting opportunity recently unfolded for three Canadian travel advisors who took part in an unforgettable FAM trip to Utah, which was a highlight of Brand USA’s Sell Your Way to the USA incentive program. The trip was meticulously organized by the Utah Office of Tourism alongside key partners.
Winners of this enriching experience included Maria Karagioules from Voyage International in Montreal, Alida Lio from The Travel Agent Next Door in Toronto, and Sue Kos from Bee Travel in Edmonton. Their adventure showcased some of northern Utah’s standout destinations: Salt Lake City, Logan, and the picturesque Heber Valley.
Tera Atwood, Global Markets Manager at the Utah Office of Tourism, emphasized the importance of Canada as a significant international market for Utah. “Like many U.S. states, Canada is the top international market for Utah,” she stated. "During the pandemic, we maintained our investment in Canada, and our commitment continues with initiatives like Sell Your Way to the USA."
Highlights of the FAM trip included visits to renowned attractions, offering participants a taste of the state’s natural beauty. Utah is celebrated for its Mighty 5 national parks in the south and the acclaimed Greatest Snow on Earth in the north. Visitors are treated to a unique perspective on what the state refers to as Life Elevated, a theme echoed throughout various tourist experiences.

The FAM trip not only underscored the diverse offerings of Salt Lake City, Logan, and the Heber Valley but also strengthened the ties between Canada and Utah’s travel industries.
